The School of Applied and Information Technology (SAIT) at the Community College of Baltimore County has gained approval from the Maryland Higher Education Commission to offer a stand-alone Mobile Applications Developers Certificate.
The new 16-credit Mobile Applications Developers Certificate option consists of four, 4-credit courses:
- CSIT 166 Introduction to Mobile Applications
- CSIT 267 iOS Application Development
- CSIT 268 Android Application Development
- CSIT 269 Introduction to Secure Mobile Application Development
Prerequisites include: CSIT 111 Logic and OO Design (3 credits) and CSIT 210 Introduction to Programming (4 credits) as well as ENGL 051 or ESOL 042 and RDNG 051 or ESOL 044; or ACLT 052; and MATH 082. While currently this option is only offered on the Catonsville campus, this fall CCBC Essex will be offering CSIT 166 (Introduction to Mobile Applications) for the first time.
