Baltimore Symphonic Band kicks off CCBC Performing Arts "Year of Shakespeare"

Performing Arts at the Community College of Baltimore County has embarked on an ambitious series of music, theatre and dance events for its “A Year of Shakespeare” commemoration of the 400th anniversary of the Bard of Avon’s death. Baltimore Symphonic Band, under the direction of Christopher Wolfe, will kick off CCBC Performing Arts’ “A Year of Shakespeare” with a concert of music inspired by literature, including selections including Tchaikovsky’s “Romeo and Juliet.” Bring your blankets and picnic baskets and enjoy the concert alfresco on Saturday, Sept. 24 at 6 p.m. on the Library patio and lawn at CCBC Catonsville, 800 S. Rolling Road. [Please note that alcohol is not permitted and CCBC is a tobacco-free environment.] The concert is free and open to the public. No reservations are needed.
