CCBC Athletics Hall of Fame to Induct 25 New Honorees
Oct 06, 2016The Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) Athletics Hall of Fame will induct 25 new honorees at a banquet to be held 7 p.m., Dec. 2, at Martin’s East in Baltimore, Md. The CCBC Athletics Hall of Fame honors former student athletes and former and current coaches, athletic administrators/staff for outstanding contributions to athletics on the three main campuses of the Community College of Baltimore County.

The CCBC Athletics Hall of Fame Committee, under the leadership of Chairman George Henderson, selected these 25 honorees to join the CCBC Athletics Hall of Fame this past spring. Now, in its sixth year, the CCBC Athletics Hall of Fame will have a total number of 152 honorees.
The nine-member selection committee included:
- Alumni: Gregory Hart – CCBC Catonsville (Men’s Lacrosse), Kent Boles – CCBC Dundalk (Baseball) and Cleveland Rudisill – CCBC Essex (Men’s Basketball)
- Former coaches /athletics administrators: Jack Manley – CCBC Catonsville (long time and founding Director of Athletics), Elliott Oppenheim – CCBC Dundalk (long time Baseball coach) and George Henderson – CCBC Essex (long time Baseball coach);
- At large members: Ann Marie Thornton (CCBC Director of Development and Alumni Relations), Barb Miller (CCBC Essex alumna/ former CCBC Essex coach for Women’s Volleyball and Basketball), and CCBC Director of College Athletics Brian Farrell, a former CCBC Catonsville Baseball student athlete.
