Newly restored Hilton Center reopens, houses CCBC Honors program and Global EducationThe CCBC Hilton Center, formerly the Hilton Mansion, has gotten a new lease on life with a $6.5 million renovation. A recent ribbon-cutting marked the reopening of the building which will now be enjoyed by students and the community.
Built in the early 17th century, the Hilton Center is one of the college’s most treasured buildings. Formerly used as administrative offices, this historic building was in desperate need of repair. Now with the renovation complete, the building has been restored to its original elegance and will now house CCBC’s Center for Global Education and the campus Honors Program. Plans are also in the works for the Hilton Center to serve as a meeting, special events and reception venue by both internal and external communities.
Additionally, CCBC is forging a partnership with the Catonsville Historical Society with plans to host a rotating display within the building filled with local artifacts. Just one more way of highlighting the history of the building and serving as a resource to the community.
