Stephen J. Nolan is a sole practitioner with a civil trial practice. Prior to starting his own practice, he was president of Nolan, Plumhoff & Williams, Chartered.
Nolan received his bachelor of arts degree, cum laude, from Villanova University and earned his J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law. He has served three terms on the Board of Governors of the Maryland State Bar Association and is a member of the American Bar Association. Nolan is a past president of the Baltimore County Bar Foundation and the Baltimore County Bar Association.
In 2008, he was elected chair of the national board of directors of the American Lung Association. Nolan has received several awards throughout his career and most recently was the recipient of the Maryland Bar Foundation’s 2008 Award for Legal Excellence for the Advancement of Public Service Responsibility.
A Timonium, Md. resident, Nolan has authored several articles which were published in The Maryland Bar Journal. He has also served as a member of the Baltimore County Ethics Commission.
