School of Technology, Art and Design

  • STAD has seven major unit areas: Information Technology/Computer Science; DCAM; Intensive Training/Health Informatics; Automotive, CADD, CAMM, HVAC, Survey, Construction; Art, Design and Interactive Media (ADIM); and the TIME Center.
  • 30% growth is expected in Maryland statewide engineering technician careers as compared to a national 5% growth.

Grant highlights

  • Provided professional development activities supporting manufacturing awareness and technical skills development, impacting 41 faculty and thousands of students.
  • Provided training to expand knowledge of various software and other applications utilized in PLTW engineering courses. A total of 113 workshops were held in six states (including Maryland) that were attended by 1,050 teachers.
  • Enrollment in CCBC’s Medical Office Assistant program has steadily increased over the past three years, nearly 55%.
