Basic HVAC Electricity

ELEI 101

Serves as an introduction to the principles of electricity as used in the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration (HVAC/R) industry, including the proper use of test equipment, electrical circuits, and component theory and operation. An overview of the installation and servicing techniques for wiring and connecting circuitry for HVAC/R systems and the various electrical components and wiring methods needed to wire HVAC/R equipment and meet electrical codes are provided. NOTE: Course offered fall, spring, and may be offered during additional sessions. Lab Fee: $40.00
