Regina E. Carson
Regina E. Carson, P.D., M.B.A., has earned national distinction
for excellence in pharmacy, teaching and business with listings in
“Who’s Who of American Women,” Who’s Who in Finance and Industry,”
and “Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare.” She is also a
co-recipient of the Greghor T. Popa Medal from the University of
Medicine and Pharmacy-Iasi, Iasi, Romania. She was also the 1992
recipient of the Faculty of the Year Award, Howard University
College of Pharmacy.
Ms. Carson is Managing Partner of Marrell Consulting, L.L.C. of
Randallstown. The company specializes in management and
educational assistance to healthcare organizations. Clinically, a
geriatric specialist and former Fellow of the American Society of
Consultant Pharmacists, she has served as Executive Director of
Sunrise of Towson. Carson served nine years in academia, first as
assistant professor and assistant director of pharmacy services in
the UMAB School of Pharmacy’s Mental Health Project and then as
assistant professor and coordinator of Experimental Programs for
the Howard University College of Pharmacy and Pharmacial Science.
With her husband, Ms. Carson, co-founded the Randallstown Medical
Center Pharmacy. She has also served as the director of hospital
pharmacies in the Baltimore area.
Ms. Carson has served on many distinguished task forces and review
panels including the pharmacist consultant for the Baltimore
County Committee on Alcohol and Drug Abuse, the boards of the
Auxiliary board of the Northwest Hospital Center and the
Alzheimer’s Association of Central Maryland. Ms. Carson holds an
M.B.A. from Loyola College, Baltimore, and a B.S. degree from
Howard University, Washington, DC, where upon graduation she was
recipient of the Dean’s Award for Excellence in Community Service.
