H. Scott Gehring
Gehring’s career in education spans more than 30 years. Since 1977
he has worked within Baltimore County Public Schools where he
progressively moved up the ranks. His positions have gone from
guidance counselor, to principal to assistant superintendent. He
recently retired from his assistant superintendent post where he
had served since 2001. Starting this fall, Gehring will be
teaching Educational Psychology as an adjunct at Towson University.
A Cockeysville, Md. resident, Gehring has a B.S. in Psychology
from Towson University, a M.S. in Guidance and Counseling from
Johns Hopkins University and a doctorate in Educational
Administration from the University of Maryland. He is also a
member of the Baltimore County Association of Elementary
Administrators.
Gehring was appointed to the CCBC Board of Trustees by Governor
Martin O’Malley in 2007.
