Let CCBC Catonsville take you through your pilot certificates and ratings with quality ground school training!
Hundreds of pilots in the Baltimore area have attended ground school courses at CCBC and many come back for refresher training. Our ground schools are taught in multi-media classrooms and offer online assignments and resources to reinforce learning.
CCBC offers complete ground school training taught by instructors who have thousands of hours of actual flying and instructional experience. They will share their knowledge with you, citing real examples, not just textbook and video instruction. CCBC employs the FAA Industry Training Standards (FITS) program in all ground schools.
CCBC is an authorized Lasergrade FAA Testing Center. When your ground school training is complete, you may take the FAA knowledge (written) test at a discounted rate.
Much more than just test preparation...
We will teach you more than just how to pass the FAA knowledge test. To be a safe and competent pilot, you will need a complete understanding of FAA regulations, airspace, communications, and flight operations procedures. Simply knowing the information needed to pass the knowledge exam is not enough to be a safe pilot!
Ground school courses offered at CCBC: Private, Instrument, and Commercial are FAA approved and fully accredited. You may even earn college credits while completing your ground training!
Courses may be taken on a credit or non-credit (audit) basis
