Phys Ed-Team Activities

PETA 101 – 1 Credit
Basketball

Emphasizes the basic skills including dribbling, passing shooting, and defensive marking. Team offenses and defenses will be included. Activity sessions will include drills and game play.

PETA 104 – 1 Credit
Baseball/Conditioning

PETA 110 – 2 Credits
Field Games and Basketball

Deals with progressive techniques and selected field games in the first seven weeks; provides an in-depth study of basketball in the second seven weeks. This course may be used to fulfill 2 elective credits.

PETA 111 – 1 Credit
Soccer

Emphasizes the basic skills, including dribbling, passing, shooting, and defensive marking. Basic offensive and defensive systems will be covered during drills and game play.

PETA 121 – 1 Credit
Box Soccer/Conditioning

Introduces the basic skills and strategies of indoor box soccer, with emphasis on cardiovascular improvement and conditioning.

PETA 131 – 1 Credit
Softball

PETA 151 – 1 Credit
Volleyball

Develops and improves individual power volleyball skills and team play; covers the bump, set, spike, serve and block and the 4-2 offense.

Prerequisite: RDNG 051 or ESOL 044

Intermediate Volleyball
