Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Description:
Although a degree is not a prerequisite to admission, this program track
outlines a sequence of specialized courses designed primarily for
students who may already hold a bachelor’s degree or higher and who have
not majored in accounting. Other students may enroll in this program by
obtaining permission from the Accounting advisors.
CPA exam candidates must have satisfactorily completed 150 semester
hours, including a bachelor’s degree with 60 semester hours or higher in
accounting and related accounting subjects. Specific details can be

Other individuals who do not hold a bachelor’s degree and who desire an
accounting background should enroll in the Accounting degree program.
Students should be advised that certain specialized courses may not be
accepted for transfer by some four-year institutions. Students should
register for courses in the sequence indicated in the program.
