Program Description:

In Maryland, CPA examination candidates must have satisfactorily completed 150 semester hours, including a bachelor’s or higher degree and 57 semester hours in accounting (27 hours) and related business subjects (30 hours). Details can be found online at www.dllr.state.md.us/license/occprof/account.html. In general, the CPA Fast-Track program is designed for those students who already hold a bachelor’s or higher degree and would like to sit for the CPA exam. To be eligible to sit for the CPA exam, candidates must complete a combination of accounting and non-accounting courses. For most students, the remaining courses can be completed within one year. The student should seek advisement from the Accounting program coordinator before enrolling.
