Transfer Pattern Description:
This Arts and Sciences degree program is designed for students who plan to
transfer to a four-year institution. Since four-year institutions vary
widely in their requirements, it is strongly recommended that students
speak with a counselor from the Counseling Center and a member of the
Geography department before registering for courses. Geography draws
upon many sources for its material because of its attempts to describe
location factors of the environment, both human and physical, and to
emphasize the relationship of these factors. Some of the major fields of
study include resource management, urban and regional planning,
oceanography, hydrology, cartography, environmental law, conservation,
demography, climatology, meteorology, geology, and travel and tourism.
