Transfer Pattern Description:
This Arts
and Sciences degree pattern is designed for students who wish to
transfer to four-year institutions which offer Bachelor of Arts or
Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees in theatre. The sequence of courses can be
adjusted to meet the requirements of the transfer institution. The
curriculum meets all of the guidelines established by the National
Association of Schools of Theatre (N.A.S.T.). All Theatre students are
expected to take an active part in the College Production program, and
should consult with a Theatre faculty member to make full use of the
resources of the institution. CCBC Essex is an accredited institutional
member of the National Association of Schools of Theatre.
To receive departmental, N.A.S.T. approved, certification in Theatre,
students must complete the Theatre and General Education courses listed
here. Upon successful completion of the course of study, a copy of a
letter of endorsement, signed by the department chair, will be affixed
to the official CCBC transcript. Changes in the recommended list of
Theatre courses must be approved by the department chair.
