Continuing Education and Economic Development

CCBC’s Continuing Education and Economic Development division (CEED) provides:

• Non-credit continuing education classes at locations throughout the community
• Customized workforce training to business and organizations
• Career training to individuals seeking a new beginning

A flexible and supportive learning environment helps students embark on careers, attain certifications, gain career and academic skills, earn high school diplomas, or take personal enrichment courses. CEED offers the opportunity for adult learners to earn licensees or certifications in more than 80 subject areas. From languages to art, from computers to health care, CEED courses are designed to prepare students for achievement in the workplace or provide them with hundreds of lifelong learning opportunities.

CEED classes are held on all CCBC campus sites, at numerous community locations and online. They can also be delivered directly to the workplace, making learning available to the community any time and any place.

CEED develops relationships in the community with private, government and business organizations and promotes programs, courses and services that support economic and community development.

The CEED division is organized to provide non-credit continuing education and contract training through three departments: Workforce Development, Intensive Occupational Training and Community Education. All three departments support the continuing education needs of CCBC’s School of Applied and Information Technology, School of Health Professions and School of Justice.
