Health Manpower Shortage program

This program allows students enrolling in designated health programs in which there are severe manpower shortages to attend community colleges outside their counties of residence at in-county tuition rates. Students participating in this program must be enrolled in one of these approved programs:

• Emergency Medical Technology
• Practical Nursing
• Pre-Clinical Nursing
• Nursing
• Occupational Therapy Assistant
• Physician Assistant
• Radiation Therapy Technician
• Radiography (X-ray Technology)
• Respiratory Care Technician

These programs are subject to change according to health manpower needs determined by the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and the Maryland Higher Education Commission or other state agencies.
