Program Description

This degree option gives students a solid background in interactive design and imaging hardware and software. Through design projects and hands-on experience they will develop a working knowledge of interactive design and multimedia project authoring. This degree option prepares students for entry-level positions with service bureaus, multimedia design and production companies, advertising design firms, corporate training developers, and companies specializing in electronic publication and Web design.

Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:

  1. Create dynamic interactive projects using the latest interactive authoring software
  2. Understand and use high-end Web/HTML authoring software
  3. Create, organize and deploy professional Web sites
  4. Understand and use digital imaging hardware and image editing software
  5.  Create, edit and enhance MPEG and QuickTime files
  6. Create, mix, and enhance audio files and soundtracks
  7. Design intuitive user interfaces and navigational elements
  8. Deploy interactive projects in a cross-platform format
  9. Create presentations using writable CD hardware and software
  10. Create and edit Portable Document Format (PDF) files
