President's Community-Based Job Training Grants
A grant from the U.S. Department of Labor to the Community College of Baltimore County
In January 2007, the US Department of Labor awarded CCBC and its partners a three-year Community-Based Job Training (CBJT) Grant to help reduce shortages in three high-demand health practice areas. The CBJTG grant serves as a catalyst for the partners to educate an increased number of students and to provide upward mobility for incumbent health care employees in the following certificate and credit programs: medical laboratory, dental and nursing and patient care. Partners include Baltimore County Office of Workforce Development, Baltimore County Public Schools, Franklin Square Hospital and Towson University.
