CONSTRUCTION PRE-APPRENTICESHIP CORE
CONTINUING EDUCATION CERTIFICATE
Prepare for an apprenticeship or other entry-level position in construction and related fields. In the Core, you will learn safety, construction math, blueprint reading, tool usage, and other trade skills used in a wide variety of construction jobs. The Core includes 150-hours of training leading to a “Construction Pre-Apprenticeship Core” Continuing Education Certificate and several industry certifications: First Aid/CPR; OSHA 10 for Construction; Baltimore Building and Construction Trades Council, AFL-CIO; and National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER).Classes offered day or evenings and Saturdays.
The Core consists of the following classes:

• APP 680, First Aid/CPR/AED
• CON 316, Construction Skills I
• CON 317, Construction Skills II
Total Cost: $1,599 (Tuition $689, Fees $910)

CONTINUING EDUCATION CERTIFICATE
You must complete the Core training at CCBC or elsewhere to be eligible. Choose from Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing, or Power Generation. All offer a “Construction Apprenticeship Preparation-Specialty” Continuing Education Certificate and NCCER Level 1. Hours and prices range by specialty.
