BUILDING MAINTENANCE

INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE, CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION, CONSTRUCTION, CONSTRUCTION TRADES, HVAC

CONTINUING EDUCATION CERTIFICATE
Gain hands-on instruction in electricity, plumbing and carpentry specifically designed for the building maintenance industry. Emphasis will be placed on safety and math in each of the three areas. Those interested in this area should be physically able to stand, reach, stoop as well as carry tools and supplies.

Introduction to Carpentry for Building Maintenance

Study the fundamentals of carpentry as they apply to the building maintenance profession. Topics to be covered include safety, math, tools and equipment, floors, walls, sheetrock installation and repair, and tile installation.

Plumbing for Building Maintenance

Learn about repairs to existing plumbing systems in a building. Designed for a building maintenance technician, topics will include plumbing safety, the use of plumbing tools, water supply system, drainage system, and venting.
