SURGICAL TECHNOLOGY
CONTINUING EDUCATION CERTIFICATE PROGRAM

This program is accredited by the Commission for Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP)

The Surgical Technology (ST) series is a 13-month course of study divided into 4 modules. Surgical Technologists are integral members of the surgical team who work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, registered nurses and other surgical personnel to deliver care to the surgical patient. Surgical Technologists must have the ability to work under pressure in stressful situations, be detail oriented, and be able to work quickly and accurately. They must be keenly sensitive to the surgical patient and other members of the surgical team. Clinical eligibility is in part dependant upon a criminal background check and random urine drug testing. Cost of testing is the responsibility of the student.
