The Curriculum and Instruction Committee reviews proposed new or revised educational programs, curricula and courses and ensures they are consistent with the college's mission. The Committee maintains meaningful participation by all sectors of the college in the creation, development, continuance, and when appropriate, dissolution of educational programs and curricula.
We have made an effort to streamline and simplify the submission and approval process. Please download and print the Approval Process Checklist and be sure to have a committee representative review your documents prior to submission to the committee chair, Karen Dalton .
Some changes may only require a Banner Form, the guidelines for this decision can be found here.
For consideration, electronic documents must be received by the committee chair a minimum of three weeks prior to the next meeting date. At that point a committee member will be assigned to help you "polish up" your documents for final submission.
Following this process, the revised documents will be sent to the committee chair a minimum of one week prior to the next scheduled meeting. Please send one complete electronic copy to KarenDalton. After CIC approval, the proposals are submitted to the College Senate for final approval. The chair will then submit the CCOs for posting to the college website.
Please follow the DOCUMENTS links to the left for a list of the required materials that you will need to bring forward a new Degree, Certificate, or Course.
