Welcome to Student Occupational Therapy Association

Mission Statement

  • To promote maximal educational benefit for students within the field of Occupational Therapy through seminars, networking, and on site experience.

The purpose of the Student Occupational Therapy Association is fourfold:

  • Increase the awareness of the Occupational Therapy profession.
  • Engage in learning activities that provide anextensionof the classroom and clinical instruction.
  • Send a delegate to the Assembly of Students Delegates meeting at AOTA.
  • Fund representatives from SOTA to attend the Maryland Occupational Therapy Association's (MOTA) state conference and student conclave meetings.


  • Fieldtrip to Independence Square at St. Agnes Hospital

  • Fieldtrip to Spring Grove's Museum

  • In-service: Annual Splint workshop

Meeting Time: Meets Mondays 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. in the Health Careers and Technology Building, Room 314
