The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) provides vital life-sustaining assessment and care to those who are experiencing a medical or traumatic emergency, and transports those persons to an appropriate medical facility were more definitive care can be rendered. The CCBC Emergency Medical Technology program educates and trains individuals to any one of three levels of emergency care:
• EMT Basic,
• EMT Intermediate (also known in Maryland as a Cardiac Rescue Technician Intermediate), and
• Paramedic
