LDA: Reading, and Writing to Discover Meaning
ENGL 052 (90701) and RDNG 052 (92453)
This learning community will enable students to develop their reading and writing skills together in preparation for college course work.
Note: There is a co-requisite of SDEV 101 for all students needing RDNG 052 that is NOT automatically met by this learning community.

LDB: Reading, and Basic Writing I
RDNG 051 (93210) and ENGL 051 (90698)
This learning community will enable students to develop their reading and writing skills together in preparation for college course work.

LDC: Introduction to Law and Legal Research
PALG 101 (94976) and PALG 103 (94980)
This learning community will enable students to learn about the court system while being introduced to the skills used in legal research and writing. Both courses are required for PALG majors.

LDD: African American History and Language
ENGL 101 (90706) and HIST 116 (91617)
This learning community will enable students to fulfill two general education requirements - one in English and the other in Social Sciences. The contents of both courses are integrated so that the writing skills taught in English 101 help the members of the learning community to be successful in African American History, and the subject matter of the African American History class enriches the content of the papers in English 101.

LDE: Reading for Academic Success

This learning will enable students to develop their reading skills with support from a Student Development course.

LDF: Talk the Talk and Write Well Too
SPCM 101 (94624) and ENGL 052 (94723)
This learning community is designed to develop both your oral communication skills and your written communications skills. These two skills are the ones shown to most significantly contribute to your success in college and in the workforce.

LDH: American Democracy and the 2008 Presidential Election
SPCM 101 (92030) and ENGL 101 (90710)
This Honors learning community wil enable students to study the 2008 Presidential election in depth. Students will research, write, and speak about the major issues pertinent to the 2008 elections and the nature of American Democracy.
