Library Information Lab
Purpose of Lab: The Library Information Lab is a classroom
designed for inter- active hands on instruction to promote information
literacy. Instructional Library classes and free web workshops use this
facility to teach search strategy with accessing and evaluating
information from different sources. Students use the lab when not in use
by a class.
Policy: Library Instruction classes have top priority for this
lab. If it is not in use by a library class it is open to the students.
These computers are installed to serve the CCBC students in their
research. If you are not doing research for a CCBC class, you may be
asked to leave.
Facilities: The Library Information Lab is equipped with 24 PC
computers, 2 laser printers & 1 scanner. These computers are on a LAN
system linked to the other computers in the main room of the library.
All computers have access to the Internet, periodical databases, and
CCBC Library On-line catalog. Both Mozilla Fireworks and Internet
Explorer browsers are used for all of the computers. This classroom can
accommodate 24 students who cooperatively use the resources.
