Using the Web for research
The World Wide Web can provide a wealth of good resources. A search on the Web can also return inaccurate, outdated, erroneous information and unreliable sites. You can start with evaluated sites available from directories such as Librarians' Index to the Internet.
If you go to a search engine such as Google, or another search engine, remember that the advanced search capabilities allow for more focused searching.
