The library collection is organized according to the Library of Congress Classification system. The call numbers start with a letter or a set of letters related to a subject. For instance books about language and literature start with P.

About articles...

The library subscribes to a number of databases. Some are specifically for research in literature.
These databases are available remotely but you must have a student I.D. barcode to access them.

Proquest - Chadwick LION

Literature Online is a fully searchable library of more than 350,000 works of English and American poetry, drama and prose, 168 full-text literature journals, and other key criticism and reference resources.

Gale Literature Resource Center

Literature Resource Center provides access to biographies, bibliographies, and critical analyses of authors from every age and literary discipline. Research help guide.

Ebscohost Academic Source Premier

A general index to periodicals. It includes a number of literary publications. Research help guide

Humanities International

A comprehensive database of humanities content, providing full text of hundreds of journals, books and other published sources from around the world from Ebscohost. Research help guide.

Searching the Web...

When you use a search engine such as Google or another one, remember that the advanced search capabilities usually allow for more focused searching.
In any case it is imperative that you evaluate carefully what you find.
