  • CCBC Students Take to Annapolis
    More than 40 CCBC Student Government Association leaders lobbied Delegates and Senators from the Baltimore County region during Student Advocacy Day in Annapolis. Hundreds of community college students participated in this event with CCBC having the largest student representation.

  • Print Shop Regroups after Unwelcome Visit from Mother Nature
    Although the snowstorm of 2003 offered a nice unexpected break for some faculty and staff, for members of CCBC Catonsville’s Printing Services, Mother Nature’s visit brought an unwelcome surprise. Under the pressure of the snow, the roof caved in bringing the copiers to a halt in the back annex of the C Building.

    Along with the nurseries, gazebo builders and bathtub refinishers, CCBC Dundalk's Horticulture program booth at the 2003 Maryland Home and Garden Show was a perennial favorite.


  • CALL to PROTECT’ Provides Phones for Domestic Violence Victims
    The CCBC Dundalk Department of Public Safety is again joining corporations, small businesses and individuals in the national “Donate a Phone CALL to PROTECT” campaign to collect unused wireless phones to provide domestic violence victims with a lifeline in an emergency.

  • CCBC Hosts Early Childhood Career Day
    More than 100 high school students and teachers from Baltimore County Public Schools (BCPS) Child Development Career Completer/Technical Preparation classes will converge on CCBC Essex on April 10 for Early Childhood Career Day. CCBC and Villa Julie College students will join them for a program of expert panels, roundtable discussions and live entertainment.

  • Travel Studies offers Adventure in Ghana
    CCBC’s Travel Studies program is offering a wonderful educational journey to the world’s second largest continent – Africa. Travel to Ghana, May 27 through June 12, on a 15-day adventure that’s filled with exploration of art, history and culture.

    CCBC Catonsville welcomes Stephanie Melvin as the new Alumni Relations director.

  • Call Center Upgrades for Better Service
    Continuing Education and Economic Development (CEED) implemented a new Call Center. Calling 410-869-0296 links callers directly into the queue of callers for CEED.

  • CCBC-TV, Making the CCBC Connection
    March marked the debut of CCBC-TV’s new half-hour cable interview show--CCBC Connections. One of four new cable programs planned by CCBC-TV staff, CCBC Connections features fast-paced, one-on-one interviews with three to six campus newsmakers, campus leaders and/or academic and career program coordinators.
