All-USA Academic First Team Member Overcomes
‘Culture Shock’
Just two short years and an
associate’s degree later, Niu, a Fall 2002 graduate of CCBC Dundalk,
was named to the All-USA Academic First Team.

Evans Named ‘Citizen of the Year’
The Optimist Club of Dundalk made official what local residents and the CCBC
Dundalk community have known for years: Janice Evans is an exceptional
woman. That’s why she was named the 2003 Dundalk Citizen of the Year.

Reihl Recognized as Baltimore County Woman of
the Year
The Baltimore County Commission for Women recognized
the leadership and community commitment of one of CCBC’s own when it
named Donna Reihl, director of the Owings Mills Center, as Baltimore
County Woman of the Year.

Webster’s
definition of war is an open armed conflict between countries or
between factions within the same country – any active hostility,
contention or struggle. Even though the definition is accurate, what’s
missing is the human aspect, the emotions that are associated with war
and the impact it has on not only a nation, but also family and
friends.

CCBC Occupational Training Center Instructor Larry Alia is not only known for
the positive work he does at the Department of Corrections where he
teaches, he’s also known for the good work he does at home and in the
community. His efforts have led to he and his wife being named Foster
Parents of the Year.
