CCBC Dundalk PTK volunteers for kitchen duty at Hope Lodge

Although Hurricane Isabel delayed their community project a bit, members of CCBC Dundalk’s Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) couldn’t be deterred from serving up a traditional Italian-themed dinner to the 25 guests at Baltimore’s Hope Lodge. Hope Lodge is a support project of the American Cancer Society providing free, temporary accommodations near major medical facilities for patients undergoing cancer treatment and their family members. Baltimore’s Hope Lodge is located on West Lexington Street adjacent to the University of Maryland Medical Center.

Phi Theta Kappa is an international honor society of two-year colleges, committed to academic excellence and community service. Jennifer Kilbourne is the new advisor to the PTK chapter on the Dundalk campus. Their next dinner at Hope Lodge is scheduled for Dec. 4 – weather permitting!
