Closing the Gap is The Community College of Baltimore County's
(CCBC's) response to the growing academic achievement gap between
African-Americans and White learners. Significant numbers of
African-American students are not achieving at levels equal to those of
their counterparts in grades K-12, and that gap in academic performance
continues as they enter college. With the mission of defining,
addressing, and eliminating the achievement gap, the Closing the Gap
(CTG) Coordinating Council was created.
The CTG Coordinating Council consists of the following members:
Co-Chairs: Dr. Larry Coleman and Dr. Trude Cook Turner
Developmental Education Representative - Dr. Donna McKusick

Planning, Research and Evaluation Representative - Dan McConohie
