CCBC director of Internship Programs honored by
Maryland Washington Minority Contractors Association, Inc.
Dyane Hill Boone makes connections for the emerging work force

Baltimore County, Md. – As director of Internships at the Community College of Baltimore County’s School of Applied and Information Technology, Dyane Hill Boone has successfully prepared and placed numerous interns in internships and employment aligned with their various courses of study. Her efforts have not gone unnoticed.

At its 5th Annual Spring Breakfast, held June 13, 2008 at Martin’s West, the Maryland Washington Minority Contractors Association, Inc. presented Hill Boone with its “Educational Institution Supporting Minority Business Enterprise Award” for her tireless efforts and notable success.

Hill Boone’s mantra, “Hire an intern: mentor the emerging work force,” are the final words heard on her office voice mail, and she has dedicated herself to forging relationships and creating opportunities for her student clientele. Backed by 15 years experience in human resources (much of it spent in the areas of training and development) and two successful entrepreneurial efforts, the Long Island, New York native utilizes her specialized skills to broker opportunities for students whose major courses of study reside in technical areas.

For information about ways to align your business with the internship program at CCBC’s School of Applied and Information Technology, contact Dyane Hill Boone at 410-455-4458 or dboone@ccbcmd.edu.
