Children’s Learning Center at CCBC Dundalk announces upcoming programs
Thursday, June 19, 2008 9:30 a.m. starting with the preschoolers and 10:30 a.m. with the school age group Snyder Foundation Humane Educator Anne Gearhart and her working dog, Spirit Song Presentations will be “Fido, Friend or Foe” which teaches dog safety, and “Buggy about Reading,” which kicks off the center’s participation in the Baltimore County Public Library’s summer reading program, in conjunction with the Read Rover librarian visits each month.
Tuesday, June 24 10 – 11 a.m. Scales and Tales animal presentation – “The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly”| They usually bring a few rescued wild animals, and sometimes the children can touch the more easily handled ones. In the past, we have had an owl, a turtle, a duck, a snake and a vulture!
Thursday, July 10 10 a.m. The American Automobile Association’s “Otto the Auto,” an interactive robotic car, will give a presentation on automobile safety for all of the children under 7 years of age in the center that day.
