Academic Theatre at CCBC Catonsville presents 'Beyond Therapy'
March 12-15 production explores romance, relationships and talk therapy

Baltimore County, Md. – Playwright Christopher Durang’s Beyond Therapy, a fast-paced comedy with his signature wit, is the spring production of the academic theatre troupe at CCBC Catonsville.

Beyond Therapy examines the trauma of dating and relationships, focusing on a blind date gone bad that sends both parties rushing to their therapists. The couple, Prudence (Brandi Sheppard of Columbia) and Bruce (Shaun Vain of Windsor Mill), seeks professional help from their therapists Dr. Stuart Framingham (Colin Williams of Baltimore) and Mrs. Charlotte Wallace (Kristen Amann of Baltimore).

Other cast members include Alex Braslavsky of Reisterstown as Bob, Bruce’s roommate, and Tim Whitehead of Catonsville as Andrew. Kenny Leon Horning of Owings Mills directs this comic romp.

  • 8 p.m. Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, March 12, 14 and 15
  • 2 p.m. Thursday, March 13
