Baltimore County, Md. – The Community College of Baltimore County Office of Student Life presents jessica Care moore as this year’s Women’s History Month Keynote Speaker at 12:20 p.m. Wednesday, March 12 in the B Building Theatre on the Essex campus at 7201 Rossville Blvd. A reception with the speaker will follow the presentation.

Moore has garnered an international reputation for her music and poetry as the artist who has helped define the power of Black music with her blend of “funk, hip-hop, soul and rock.” According to her bio, “Her theatre show, Alpha Phobia, is a semi-autographical sketch about a female poet who believes the alphabet is trying to kill her.” Her preoccupation with the alphabet extends to her second book, The Alphabet Versus The Ghetto.

This program is free and open to the public. For additional information, contact the CCBC Essex Office of Student Life at 410-780-6572.
