CCBC presents World Dance Festival
Gala Performance Sept. 22 features the Krump Kings Hope

CCBC celebrates the world of dance with a variety of performances during
the World Dance Festival to be held
Wednesday, Sept. 19 through Saturday, Sept. 22. Tribal belly dancing,
West African percussion and dance, Hip Hop, beatbox and Polynesian dance
are among the many performances highlighted during this four-day event.
The World Dance festival opens at 12:20 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19 with
free dance performances on each of CCBC’s three main campuses.
Performances at each of the campuses begin at 12:20 p.m.
The Festival concludes with a gala at 8 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 22 at CCBC
Essex, B Building, Theater. The gala features performances from
Washingtonia (German clogging), Natya Kala Mandi, Naimah, Arte Flemenco
(Spanish dance), Taikoza, Farafina Kan and a cameo appearance by the
CCBC Dance Company. The Krump Kings, as featured in the 2005 documentary
RIZE!, will also perform as special guests. Admission is a donation of $20
for the performance.
