Microsoft Concentration
The purpose of the MCSA and MCSE concentrations is to prepare the student to work as an entry level network technician, network administrator, or network engineer.Upon completion of the program students will be able to install, configure, manage, maintain, and troubleshoot a Microsoft-based local area network.Using leading-edge technology, students will1). Learn the theory and principles of computer networking, and 2). Perform hands-on exercises in which they will: Install workstation and server operating systems; configure network communication protocols, such as TCP/IP; install network services, including DHCP, DNS, and Active directory; setup user and group accounts; implement security including firewall and router configuration; implement fault tolerant disk systems; enable internet connectivity; optimize system performance; and, most importantly, troubleshoot common networking problems.Internships are available for students who complete the program.
