"They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." - Benjamin Franklin
The purpose of this site is to provide information about various perspectives related to academic freedom, political bias in the classroom and on campus, and current legislation and events affecting these two issues. Academic freedom and the use of political speech in the classroom affects everyone involved in the learning process: students, faculty members, professional staff, and administrators. How such speech is used directly affects the scope of everyone's academic freedom.
