Typical student budget (for calculating financial need)
To determine eligibility for need-based assistance, the Financial Aid office considers each student’s /family’s ability to contribute to the educational budget.
The following budgets are typically used when calculating the financial need of students with the components indicated. Students can obtain adjustments to this budget from the Financial Aid office that better reflect their special needs, if applicable.

Budgets will vary depending on whether a student is enrolled:
(0 - 5 credits) - less than half time
(6 - 8 credits) - half time
( 9 - 11 credits) - three-quarters time
(12 or more credits) – full time
Budget variations also will occur if a student is an out-of-county resident.
