Requirements for financial aid recipients
In addition to being accepted at CCBC, enrolling in an eligible program and demonstrating financial need, each financial aid recipient must:

Be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen

Have a high school diploma, GED or have the ability to benefit (Students without a high school diploma or GED must take and pass a required test.)

Register for at least six billable hours per semester (Pell grants can be fewer. Some developmental courses are not eligible for financial aid.)

Make satisfactory academic progress toward the completion of a course of study

Not be in default on any prior educational loan or owe a refund on an educational grant or on an educational loan

Not owe a repayment on any Title IV, HEA grant previously received from any institution

Register with the Selective Service if the student is a male 18 to 25 years of age and is not currently a member of the active Armed Forces

Not have been convicted of possessing or selling illegal drugs after July 1, 1998 while receiving Federal student aid (grants, loans, or work study).
