Prepares automotive technicians seeking certification by the state as a Maryland Safety Inspector. Topics include the applicable Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR) and a practice test session. Includes practice test, handbook review, updates and revisions.

Maryland State Inspection Hands-on Test Preparation

Prepare to pass the Maryland State Inspection hands-on test. Topics include scuff gauge, front-end alignment, exhaust emissions, lighting circuits, headlight alignments, conversion formulas, micrometer usage, dial indicator and dial caliper. Intended for automotive students who have passed the Maryland Safety inspection written exam.

COMMERCIAL TRUCK DRIVING
DEFENSIVE DRIVE COURSE FOR PROFECIONAL TRUCK DRIVERS

COMMERCIAL VEHICLE TRAINING (CVT)
Continuing Education Certificate Program

There is a nationwide shortage of commercial truck drivers and the American trucking industry estimates a need for 400,000 new drivers over the next decade.

CCBC offers
· 4-week CDL-A (tractor trailers)
· 2-week CDL-B (bus and heavy straight truck) program.

Our programs feature experienced instructors, personalized attention and top of the line equipment to prepare students to obtain their Commercial Driver's License. Learn CDL theory, air brake operation, map reading, backing and docking, along with the safe operation of a CDL vehicle over a variety of roads and conditions.

To register for the CVT program you must have a current Maryland CDL Learner's permit.

Need help with the MVA written test?
CCBC now offers a separate CDL Learner's Permit Preparation course in 8 evening classroom sessions over a 2-week period.

DEFENSIVE DRIVING COURSE FOR PROFESSIONAL TRUCK DRIVERS
Continuing Education Certificate Program

One-day course is for licensed CDL-A or CDL-B drivers who want to hone their defensive driving capabilities. This course uses the National Safety Council's curriculum and is taught CCBC staff certified to teach the NSC program. Successful completers will earn a nationally-recognized defensive driving certificate.
