New International F-1 Applications from Overseas
Applicants to CCBC need to submit all documents listed below to International Student Services by June 1 for fall semester or November 1 for spring semester. (If you are already attending a school in the U.S. and would like to transfer to CCBC, click here.)

Official TOEFL score of 450 (paper-based), 133 (computer-based), 45-46 (internet- based). Go to www.TOEFL.org for more information. CCBC's institutional codes are Catonsville 5137, Dundalk 5176,and Essex 5192. TOEFL is not required if English is the applicant's first language or course equivalent to English 101, College Composition, has been successfully completed at a college or university in the U.S. with a grade of "C" or higher.

Original or certified copy of high school transcripts and/or diploma.

Official college or university transcripts, if applicable. Transcripts should be accompanied by an English translation certified by a recognized authority. Students seeking advanced standing for college or university course work completed outside of the U.S. will need to request a full course-by-course evaluation of their transcript(s). Declaration of Financial Support Form and financial statements confirming that students can pay for their academic and living expenses. Currently, the costs are $17,189 for a year of study.

Applicants who meet all the requirements for admission will be sent an acceptance letter and an I-20 form. The I-20 form and evidence of financial support must be presented to the nearest U.S. Embassy. The U.S. Embassy and the Department of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, not the college, makes the final decision on granting the F-1 student visa.
A student with an F-1 visa is required to enroll full time during the fall and spring semesters and will be charged the international student tuition rate. At CCBC, financial aid and many scholarships are not available to F-1 students. Students will be expected to continue to pay for all their expenses including tuition, fees, books, transportation, health insurance, housing, and food for the duration of their studies at CCBC.
