For Your Safety and Security
As students, employees, or visitors to The Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC), you each have specific goals, assignments, or purposes that bring you onto the campus and other college facilities. The purpose of this information is both to comply with the legal requirements of the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Crime Statistics Act that requires the college to provide certain information to you and to inform and alert you to the role that you play in the safety and security of yourself and others.
On campus, at home, or anywhere, you need to be security conscious. Each of us plays a role in creating and maintaining a safe environment. We are fortunate that we do not have many crimes on campus. Your personal actions can help maintain a desirable learning and working environment. As partners in campus safety and security, students, staff, and others have shared responsibilities. Each individual needs to be as safety conscious as possible. CCBC provides additional informational materials and security information at New Student Orientation and throughout the year. Staff members of the Department of Public Safety are always available to provide assistance and information.
