Maintenance and Access to Campus Facilities

The Plant Operations department maintains the campus buildings and grounds with a concern for safety and security. Routine inspections of exterior lighting are conducted routinely, and any problems are diagnosed and repaired quickly. Meetings between the Grounds department, and Public Safety are held to establish landscaping and pruning procedures for trees and shrubbery which might present safety issues. Please report any facility conditions that you feel impact the safety of those on campus to Public Safety immediately.

Drug and Alcohol Abuse

The campus also subscribes to and enforces both the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988 and the Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act Amendments of 1989. A copy of the policy statement regarding drug and alcohol use is available from the Dean of Students, Office of Student Life, or the Department of Public Safety.

Daily Log

The Department of Public Safety maintains a daily log of all crimes reported. The log lists the nature, date, time, location, and disposition of on-campus crimes. The log is open for inspection during normal business hours in the Public Safety offices of each campus.
