The Learning and Student Development Division is the fusion of high quality services and programs that culminates in student learning and success. It currently consists of the following academic and support units: The Student Success Center, including testing, tutoring , and Supplemental Instruction. Career Center Library Services The Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence. The purpose of the Center is to assist the faculty in the performance of their assignments through formal and informal programs and to provide a quiet, welcoming place where they can meet, read, work, or relax. The Honors Program The Learning and Student Development Division has begun the process of redefining itself through the LearningFirst paradigm. It has as its goal the creation of a comprehensive and integrated student support model worthy of replication. The Mission of Learning and Student Development is to create, facilitate, and enhance comprehensive resource rich environments for a diverse college community. These environments will have defined learning outcomes and will be based on a planned integration of technology. The Vision of Learning and Student Development is to create an environment for nurturing independent and collaborative learning, integrating all of the college experience, and aiding students in becoming life long learners. The Philosophy of Learning and Student Development is to value the potential of all learners and their ability to achieve their educational and personal goals.
