Contemplative Practices: Deepening Awareness and Concentration

Learn contemplative practices, with the goals of enhancing cognitive performance (including attention and concentration), empowering creativity, managing stress and other emotional challenges. Developing the “whole person" through meditation, yoga and personal transformation. Practice staying present and connected to the community and to the world. The Keynote speaker will be Gerard Yun, Assistant Professor of Community Music at Canada’s Wilfred Laurier University, whose expertise combines contemplative/meditative aspects of music with our connection to both our communities and to Nature. Content related to this year's environmentally-themed CCBC Community Book, Under a White Sky: The Nature of the Future by Elizabeth Kolbert, will also be offered.​
