CCBC inducts 12 into the ranks of Emeritus Professor

Baltimore, Md. – (May 16, 2014) Community College of Baltimore County will bestow the rank of Emeritus Professor on 12 retired faculty members at a formal ceremony, 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 22 in the College Community Center, Upper Lobby at CCBC Essex, 7201 Rossville Blvd.

Each recipient will be presented with an engraved Emeritus medallion in recognition of outstanding scholarship, exemplary service to the college and for work with CCBC students.

Emeritus status can be granted only on retired college employees or those retiring as of June 30 of the current academic year. Candidates must have a distinguished career, one which has been deemed outstanding when compared to other employees with similar career requirements. His or her efforts have also contributed to helping improve the strength, growth and integrity of the college. This designation requires the approval of the Board of Trustees.
