Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics and Network Technology Credit Programs

CCBC offers Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics and Network Technology programs to prepare well-rounded students for these dynamic fields.

CCBC emphasizes technical skills and prepares students to attain industry certifications such as CompTIA (A+, Network+, Security+, Linux+), Cisco, CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate), and EC-Council, CEH (Certified Ethical Hacking).

Our faculty have worked in their respective fields and incorporate their professional experiences into teaching current industry concepts in a small classroom environment. Most courses are available days, nights, weekends, and online. For those students that may be interested in pursuing a bachelor's degree after CCBC, we offer transfer agreements with a variety of area four-year colleges and universities.

CCBC technology programs encourages students to participate in clubs, including Tech Club, Cyber Competition Team, and Women in Technology.

Digital Forensics

Prepare students for career opportunities such as Digital Forensics analyst, Forensics and Incident Response Analyst to extract and analyze digital evidence in a manner that is legally acceptable.

CCBC has been designated as a National Center of Digital Forensics Academic Excellence (CDFAE) by the U.S. Department of Defense Cyber Crime Center (DC3).

CCBC Cyber Competition Team

CCBC has a Cyber Competition Team provides students with the opportunities to use knowledge gained in class and to solve real life problems. Students who enroll in Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics, Network Technology and Computer Science courses may participate in the competition team.

Internships/apprenticeships

Industry partnerships are at the heart of educational collaborations between the CCBC Cybersecurity Institute and regional technology employers. CCBC works closely with employers, associations and government agencies in the creation and development of internship and apprenticeship opportunities for students.

The Cybersecurity Advisory Board – consisting of technology employers in the Greater Baltimore area – serve to guide CCBC in the development of courses directly related to industry standards, including work-related activities that students may find in actual employment. Tech Club

Formerly known as Cyber Club, the CCBC Tech Club was launched in 2014 with the dedication of the Cybersecurity Institute. Tech Club meetings serve to bring employers and technology students together for periodic sessions to discuss industry trends and employment opportunities in the fields of Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics, Network Technology and Computer Science – Information Technology.

Tech Club meetings are open to all students regardless of major or area of concentration. Announcements about Tech Club meetings are generally posted to Blackboard.

Students can self enroll in the CCBC Tech Club & Women in Technology (TEC & WIT) blackboard site by doing the following:

Women in Technology

Women in Technology (WIT) is a CCBC organization that is focused on providing educational and professional support and opportunities to women in STEM related fields. We hold monthly meetings that feature female guest speakers from industry and government that share their personal stories and expertise about working in male dominated fields.
